Plastic Surgery: Types, Procedures and its Risk

The popularity of plastic surgery is growing every year. Plastic surgery is not only performed by women but also by men.

Plastic surgery is on the rise. The name plastic surgery is derived from the Greek word plasticos which means mold or formation.

Just because the name contains the word "plastic" does not mean that plastic is used on the face in surgery.

Having plastic surgery can change a person's appearance.

Plastic Surgery

* Types;

   1. Cleansing process;

            This surgery corrects defects on a person's body or face such as ear deformities, chapped lips, scars from burns.

   2. Cosmetics;

             It is also called aesthetic. This surgery involves replacing a part of the body that has a defect that includes reshaping the nose or removing fat from the spots on the body.

 * Is Plastic Surgery Painful?

         The technology and equipment used in plastic surgery has been evolving for some time now, with the aim of reducing the discomfort of patients during treatment.

The purpose of plastic surgery is to reduce the patient's pain. In fact surgery is impossible. The surgeon should see to it that there is no scarring or pain during the surgery.

The pain that occurs during plastic surgery varies from person to person.

For some, plastic surgery is completely painless while others can experience pain. Many factors affect how much pain a person will experience.

Age;

         Your age affects how much pain you feel. Younger people are more sensitive to pain than older people because older people have sensations that get depressed over time.

Previous experiences with pain;

          Your pain may be less if you have never had surgery. You may find recovery from plastic surgery painful. A person who has had excessive plastic surgery during his or her lifetime may be uncomfortable recovering from plastic surgery.

Anesthesia;

             Anesthesia is used during plastic surgery. Giving anesthesia to a patient during plastic surgery does not cause pain as the anesthesia blocks the perception of pain from the brain.

* Type of plastic surgery;

              Every surgery is different. Some plastic surgeries require only a small incision and no pain while other procedures are difficult and require time to heal.

* Procedures for plastic surgery;

1. Liposuction;

           Liposuction sucks fat from a specific part of the body. Liposuction is a surgical procedure. There are many types of liposuction.

      A. Tumorsant liposuction;

                 This is the most popular type of saline solution, a drug used to constrict blood vessels.

       B. Ultrasonic - Assisted Liposuction;

                  The cannula releases ultrasonic energy to dissolve the fat in it so that it can be expelled from the body.

Ultrasonic-assisted liposuction carries a higher risk than tumor liposuction which involves prolonged surgery and both internal and external risks.

Other types include laser liposuction, power assisted, suction assisted and air-assisted.

Blepharoplasty;

            This procedure is done to improve the vision of the person in which the eyelids block the vision.

Excessive skin can cause poor vision. The skin underneath with chronic inflammation or wrinkles is often reduced during this procedure to look younger. Most people can go out in 15 days.

After a week the swelling subsides.

Aldominoplasty;

             Aldominoplasty surgery removes excess fat from the abdominal area and tightens the remaining skin.

This plastic surgery is performed on people who have excessive skin after bariatric surgery. This procedure is known as tmitak or lower body lift.

Rhinoplasty;

               Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose and balances it with the face. Nose size can be reduced to look better.

Rhinoplasty surgery can also be performed to improve the condition of breathing.

Rightidectomy;

              Rhythdectomy tightens facial skin. As a person gets older, wrinkles appear on his face. It involves stretching the skin and smoothing out deep lines to make a person look younger. The procedure also shapes the forehead and eyelids and the stitches are opened after 8 to 10 days but recovery takes several weeks.

Forehead lift;

               The forehead lift involves stretching the skin of the forehead to remove forehead wrinkles. The orbit is also elevated to look younger. Raising the rotation makes the lines appear shorter. A person who has excessive wrinkles between orbits may benefit from a forehead lift. The patient can resume his activity 10 days after the surgery.

* Risks;

             Plastic surgery carries risks such as scarring, infection, leakage, blood clots, excessive bleeding, etc. People prefer a non-invasive procedure.
